RaceCrowd terms of use

These terms govern your use of the RaceCrowd app, operated by Race Crowd Limited. By using the app you accept them. If you do not, please do not use it.

What RaceCrowd is

RaceCrowd shows British and Irish racecards, results, prices and racing information. The app itself is free, and the racing content in it is free. It is an information and entertainment product.

What RaceCrowd is not

• It is not a bookmaker. You cannot place a bet in this app. No money is staked, held or paid out here.
• It is not betting advice. Verdicts, tips and ratings shown in the app come from our data supplier and are published as information. They are not a recommendation to bet, and nothing here is financial advice.
• The naps table is not gambling. It is free to enter, there is no stake and there is no prize. It records which horse you picked and how often your pick won.

Accuracy

Racing data comes from The Racing API and weather from WeatherAPI.com. We publish what they give us and we do not invent racing facts. Even so, cards change, horses are withdrawn and results are occasionally amended after an enquiry. Always check with the racecourse, the official results service or your bookmaker before acting on anything you read here. We do not accept liability for losses arising from reliance on data in the app.

Your account

You must be 18 or over to hold an account. Keep your sign-in details to yourself. One account per person. You may delete your account at any time from your profile; it removes your account and your whole nap record, permanently.

Fair use of the naps table

One nap per person per day, entered before the race runs. Accounts that attempt to enter a pick after a race has started, to alter a settled result, or to run multiple accounts, will have their record removed. The table exists to show whose judgement is worth following, which only works if the record is honest.

The Club

Club membership and racing club shares are a separate product, bought on racecrowd.com and not inside the app. Club membership is a recreational product. It is not an investment, it carries no financial return, and nothing about it should be read as a promise of winnings, prize money or profit. Separate terms apply to those purchases and are provided at the point of sale.

Gambling and getting help

Racing and betting are linked, and some people are harmed by gambling. If betting is causing you difficulty, free and confidential help is available from BeGambleAware at begambleaware.org and the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133.

Acceptable use

Please do not attempt to break, overload or reverse engineer the app, scrape its data at volume, or republish the racing data it displays. The racing data is licensed to us, not to you. The app, its design and its content are owned by Race Crowd Limited or our licensors.

Availability

We will do our best to keep the app running, but we do not guarantee it will always be available or free of faults. We may change or withdraw features. If we withdraw something you have paid for, we will deal with you fairly.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for betting losses. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
