RaceCrowd privacy policy

RaceCrowd is a horse racing app operated by Race Crowd Limited. This policy explains what we hold about you, why, and how to get rid of it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
The short version
- You can read racecards, results and news without an account and without telling us anything.
- If you make an account, we hold your email address, a nickname and the horses you nap.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not run advertising trackers.
- You can delete your account, and everything attached to it, from inside the app.
What we collect

Why we hold it
Your email address identifies your account and is how we send you a sign-in link. Your naps exist because the naps table cannot rank anyone without a record. A nickname exists so the table can show a name that is not your email address. In data protection terms, we rely on performance of a contract: you asked for an account, and these are the things an account needs to work.
Who else sees it
We use a small number of suppliers to run the app. They process data on our instructions and for no purpose of their own.
- Supabase — stores your account and your naps. Our project is hosted in the United Kingdom.
- Cloudflare — serves the app and runs the code behind it.
- The Racing API — supplies racecards, results, odds and the written verdicts. They receive no information about you; we ask them about races, never about users.
- WeatherAPI.com — supplies course weather. Again, nothing about you.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Your account and your nap record are kept until you delete your account. When you delete it, the account and every nap attached to it are removed immediately and permanently. There is no grace period and no archive copy, so please be sure before you confirm.
Deleting your account
Open the app, go to your profile, and choose Delete your account. It removes your account and your whole nap record and cannot be undone. You do not have to ask us, and you do not have to explain why.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Write to us at the address below and we will answer within one month. If you are not satisfied with our answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Children
RaceCrowd is not intended for people under 18. We do not knowingly hold data about children.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change materially affects what we do with your data, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
